Product No: IK01-07
The IK01-07 Spring Impact Hammer is a high-precision testing device designed by LISUN specifically for evaluating the impact resistance of product casings. Featuring an integrated structure and a precision spring drive system, it consistently delivers impact energy consistent with IK ratings (e.g., IK01 to IK07), ensuring repeatability and accuracy during testing. It is widely used for mechanical strength testing of casings, operating levers, handles, knobs, indicator lights, signal lights, and lampshades for accessories such as LED lighting, household appliances, and electronic products. This ensures that the tested products can withstand potential misuse and other accidents, ensuring safe and reliable operation.

According to IEC 62262, the IK rating (Degrees of Protection Against External Mechanical Impacts) is a core indicator for measuring a product’s ability to withstand external mechanical impacts. It’s expressed as “IKXX,” where “XX” is a two-digit number (ranging from 00-10). A higher number indicates a higher level of impact protection and, consequently, a higher impact energy level (measured in joules) that can be resisted. The following table shows the relationship between different IK ratings and impact energies:
| IK Level | IK Level Description | Impact Energy J | Application Examples |
| IK00 | No protection | 0 | Non-exposed internal components, sealed circuit boards |
| IK01 | Protected against light touch (such as fingers, small objects) |
0.14 | Small electronic components and sensors in low-risk indoor areas |
| IK02 | Resist minor impacts (such as light impacts with tools, small parts falling) |
0.2 | Desktop office equipment housings (such as keyboard and mouse housings) |
| IK03 | Resist to mild impact (such as small equipment, mobile phone collision) |
0.35 | Home appliance control panels (such as air conditioners, TV panels) |
| IK04 | Resist to moderate impact (such as collision with hard objects, tool dropping) |
0.5 | LED lamp housing, printer housing, router housing |
| IK05 | Resist heavy impact (such as wrench, screwdriver impact) |
0.7 | Industrial control boxes, medical device housings (such as monitors) |
| IK06 | Resist to strong impact (such as a 1kg object falling from a short distance) |
1 | Outdoor lighting equipment, large electrical appliance housings(such as washing machines) |
| IK07 | Resist to heavy impact (such as a 1kg object falling from a height of 1m) |
2 | Commercial display screens, elevator control panels, distribution boxes |
LISUN offers two types of IK spring impact hammers:
• Single Type (one spring impact hammer for each IK level): IK01, IK02, IK03, IK04 , IK05, IK06, IK07
• Universal Type (The six IK levels are concentrated into an adjustable spring impact hammer): IK01-06
Note: The above IK spring hammers can be calibrated using the LISUN IK01-07-CAL spring hammer calibration device.
