EN European Standard

EN standards refer to European Norm, also known as European Standards. They refer to standards developed and published by the European Organization for Standardization (CEN), covering products and services in many fields, including construction, machinery , electrical, medical, environment, etc.

EN standards are mutually recognized standards among European countries. Their purpose is to promote intra-European trade and consumer protection, and make the European internal market more unified and interoperable. EN standards cover product and service specifications, test methods, safety requirements, performance parameters and other aspects, providing standardized references for enterprises’ product quality, performance and safety.

EN standards are jointly developed by the European Standardization Organization and the European Commission. Their contents have gone through extensive discussions and consultations and represent the consensus of European countries. EN standards have been widely adopted and also play an important role in the standardization work of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
