Product No: IK07-10
IK07-10 Pendulum Impact Tester (also known as Pendulum Impact Testing Machine) is a professional device designed specifically for testing the mechanical impact protection of electrical and electronic product enclosures. Based on the pendulum impact principle, it precisely controls the impact energy, angle, and impact point to simulate external mechanical impact, effectively testing the product enclosure’s resistance to impact. Whether it’s lighting fixtures, substations, non-metallic electrical cabinets, or household and similar appliances, this device can perform impact tests at varying energy levels. This provides reliable data support for product R&D, production quality inspection, and compliance certification, ensuring product safety and durability in the face of mechanical impact in real-world use.

Specifications:
• Distance between the axis of pendulum pivot and the axis of impact element: 1,000mm
• Structural principle: The test sample is placed normally, adjust the impact point, position the impact device, and release the pendulum rod to allow the hammerhead to freely impact the sample
• Impact energy, equivalent mass and drop height refer to Table 2 in IEC 60068-2-75

IK07-10 Drop Height
According to IEC 62262, the IK rating (Degrees of Protection Against External Mechanical Impacts) is a core indicator for measuring a product’s ability to withstand external mechanical impacts. It’s expressed as “IKXX,” where “XX” is a two-digit number (ranging from 00-10). A higher number indicates a higher level of impact protection and, consequently, a higher impact energy level (measured in joules) that can be resisted. The following table shows the relationship between different IK ratings and impact energies:
| IK Level | IK Level Description | Impact Energy J | Application Examples |
| IK07 | Resist to heavy impact (such as a 1kg object falling from a height of 1m) | 2 | Commercial display screens, elevator control panels, distribution boxes |
| IK08 | Resist to severe impact (e.g. 2.5kg object dropped from 1m height) | 5 | Outdoor cabinets, heavy machinery equipment housings, charging piles |
| IK09 | Resist to strong impact (such as a 5kg object falling from a height of 1m) | 10 |
Industrial heavy equipment, vehicle exterior components, |
| IK10 | Resist to severe impact (such as a 7.5kg object falling from a height of 1m) | 20 | Explosion-proof equipment housings, mining machinery parts, port equipment |
| IK11 | Resist to extreme impact (e.g. 10kg object dropped from 1.2m height) | 50 | Heavy industrial equipment housings, engineering machinery cabs, and high-voltage equipment protective housings |
LISUN offers two IK pendulum testers:
• The LISUN IK07-10 Pendulum Tester (Standard Electric Model) can perform the following IK level tests: IK07, IK08, IK09, and IK10 (IK11 optional);
• The LISUN IK07-10S Pendulum Tester (Simple Manual Model) can perform the following IK level tests: IK07, IK08, IK09, and IK10 (IK11 optional).
Note: For impact energy tests up to 2J, we recommend using the IK01-07 spring impact hammer.
Applications:
• Specialized Testing in the Lighting Industry: For ceiling lamps, outdoor street lamps, landscape lighting fixtures, etc., in accordance with IEC 60598-1/GB/T 7000.1 standards, it tests the enclosure’s IK rating to verify the lamps’ ability to resist collisions and impacts during transportation, installation, and outdoor use. This prevents safety hazards caused by exposed internal circuits due to enclosure damage.
• Testing of Household and Similar Electrical Appliances: Covering products such as refrigerators, washing machines, and small household appliances, it tests the impact strength of appliance enclosures in accordance with IEC 60335-1/GB 4706.1 standards. This ensures that product enclosures will not compromise user safety due to damage during daily use such as accidental knocks.
• Testing of Low-Voltage Electrical and Distribution Equipment: Suitable for power distribution cabinets, non-metallic electrical cabinets, plugs, and sockets. In accordance with IEC 60884-1/GB 2099.1 standards, it simulates mechanical impacts in industrial or civil scenarios to verify the protection capability of equipment enclosures for internal components, ensuring the safety of power transmission and usage.
• Testing of Audio-Visual Electronic Equipment: For speakers, televisions, projectors, etc., in accordance with IEC 62368-1GB 4943.1 standards, it tests the impact resistance of enclosures to prevent equipment from malfunctioning or posing electric shock risks due to accidental impacts.
