1. Product quality for color control
In order to control the color change of the product within a certain acceptable range, the production line must use a color change meter to detect color quality and monitor the color change of the product. Within an acceptable range, the production process should be adjusted to ensure the color quality of the product.

For example, when receiving a phone case, a color difference meter needs to be used to check if the color is qualified.
For example, plastic parts should not have deformation or distortion (exceeding 10mm is not acceptable);

When receiving standard samples from customers, the company should allocate colors based on the standard samples. During this process, the low sample should be repeated. When there is no instrument to measure the color difference between the standard sample and the sample, the color difference between the evaluation sample and the standard sample basically depends on the human eye.

Due to subjective factors of the human eye, there are some problems, such as. Long calibration cycle, high calibration cost, low color accuracy, and difficulty in color difference data.

Croatian bias measurement can quickly measure the color difference between standard samples and samples, providing accurate quantitative data, fast, comfortable, and reducing the uncertainty of human eye observation. In the measurement data of the color difference meter, the color deviation between the sample and the standard sample can be displayed.

Therefore, the color formula can be corrected based on the measurement data of the colorimeter to shorten the correction period.

Here is an example:
If the color coordinates of the standard sample are:
L *=22.75, a *=22.58, b *=13.83 (i.e. (L) brightness value is 22.75, (A) red value is 22.58, and (B) yellow value is 13.83)

Set the measurement value of the standard sample as the standard, and then measure the small sample to obtain the results of the small sample:
L*=22.88，a*=20.32，b*=10.85；
Δ L*=0.13， Δ a*= -2.26， Δ B *=-2.95 (brighter 0.13, greener 2.26, bluer 2.95)

It can be seen that the next time the sample formula is revised, red (or minus green) and yellow (or minus blue) should be added. The specific degree of addition can be determined based on the experimental results, repeated several times until the color difference is within the allowable range. Experienced color mixers can determine the proportion of the formula between 2-3 times based on the value of the color difference meter.

3. Color Transfer
International and domestic colors are based on ideal black and white boards, rather than instruments as standards. Therefore, when customers hear about color cards or standard samples, they can use a color difference meter for color matching and color quality control, thereby accurately achieving color reproduction and ensuring correct color transmission.

The colorimeter mainly manages colors in five aspects: formula modulation, formula correction, color measurement, color difference control, and daily color management, each of which is very important.

Recipe modulation
Firstly, it is necessary to establish a dedicated color database for color mixing and matching, and input commonly used pigment data into the database.

After that, if the color needs to be prepared, the incoming color board can be directly input into the computer, and several candidate pigments can be selected on the keyboard. Based on the sample information measured by the color difference meter, the final dyeing and coloring pigment formula can be calculated and determined in computer software. Then set the tolerance range according to the requirements to achieve online color monitoring of the color difference instrument

Formula correction
After determining a color formula, the production process also discovers color changes. This is based on the color data measured by the colorimeter and the formula calculation method in the computer software, adjusting the formula to be exactly the same as the customer’s sample information or within the tolerance range requested by the customer.

Color measurement
The biggest function of a colorimeter is color detection, but in modern industrial coloring requirements, only detecting the color information of products is not enough. The function of a colorimeter is also constantly improving according to the requirements of manufacturers and customers.
