What are the waterproof test chamber

The other names of the waterproof test chamber are rain test chamber, waterproof detector and other different names. It is used to judge or evaluate whether the requirements of the product meet the waterproof requirements by using the test environment simulating natural rain.
There are many types of waterproof test chambers, and nine kinds of equipment are common, namely, ipx12 drip test machine, ipx34 Swing Pipe Water Spray Test chamber, ipx56 Waterproof Jet Test Device, ipx7/8 Immersion tank Waterproof test Device, and ipx9 High Temperature Pressure Jet Waterproof Test Chamber. In addition, there are a variety of comprehensive rain test chambers, ice water impact chamber and salt spray chamber, which can be customized according to the user’s test requirements for the product.

What is the waterproof test chamber made of?
1. The shell is made of domestic steel plate, and the surface is sprayed with baking paint, which is beautiful and durable.
2. The inner chamber and turntable are all made of SUS304 # stainless steel plate, which is durable.
3 Chamber structure; Self-contained water tank, circulating water; Automatic control of water inflow and low water level alarm detection can effectively prevent water pump from being damaged due to water shortage.
4. There is a transparent observation window (made of tempered glass) on the door, and an LED lamp is installed in the chamber to facilitate the observation of the internal test.

How to set up the waterproof test bench:
First of all, sample turntable: used to place test samples, which can bear ≤ 50kg; It can be manually adjusted up and down for adjusting the test. The method of changing the turntable during the test is: the turntable rotates forward: click, and the turntable rotates clockwise. (When rotating, please pay attention to whether the sample wire is twisted), and the turntable is reversed: click, and the turntable rotates counterclockwise. (When rotating, please pay attention to whether the sample wire is wound), the rotating speed setting range of the turntable is 1-5r/min; The factory setting is 1 r/min.

Is there any requirement for the test time of waterproof test chamber?
In fact, there is a standard test time for the waterproof and deluge tester. For example, the duration of the test should be at least 10 minutes for the ipx34 pendulum tube test. For the ipx56 waterproof, the product needs to be soaked for three minutes per cubic meter. For the ipx7 waterproof, the immersion time is half an hour. Of course, these times can also be adjusted according to the user’s test time requirements for the product. Standard time can also be based on user’s demand for products.

How to use the waterproof test chamber:
1. First, after the power is turned on, the machine will stop running after the control program set by the machine is completed;
2. Open the door handle, place the determined test sample on the rack and fix it, and close the door;
3. According to the operation manual, first set the test, such as the test time, flow and other parameters, and then enter the test state according to the set operation method;
4. If you want to observe the change of the rain test machine, you can turn on the lamp beside the door and understand the internal change through the window. The change of temperature and humidity is displayed on the controller. If there is no humidity requirement, the humidity value will not be displayed;
5. Open the door handle, take out the sample from the sample rack, record the sample and record the test results.

Test method of IPX3-IPX4 waterproof test chamber:
1. Replace the nozzle, remove the stainless steel plug on both sides of the swing tube, and replace it with a blue nozzle.
2. Place the determined test product on the sample turntable, so that the sample is in the center of the desktop.
3. Adjust the height of the turntable according to the size of the sample so that the distance between the upper part of the sample side and the discharge nozzle does not exceed 200mm.
4. Enter the test interface and select the waterproof grade. If the test product is powered on, please click “sample power” to power on the sample.
5. Enter the test parameter interface and set the total test time, power-off time and other parameters; Return to the main interface and click Test Start.

Ipx5 waterproof test chamber:
Ipx5 refers to preventing the invasion of sprayed water; To prevent the water sprayed from the nozzle from all directions from entering the appliance and causing damage, the shell of the product can be tested for level 5 waterproof grade. Secondly, its test requirements are that the nozzle inner diameter is 6.3 mm and the water flow is 12.5 ± 0.625 L/min; A circle with a diameter of about 40mm at the center of the main water flow 2.5m from the nozzle; The water spraying time per square meter of the shell surface is about 1min; The test time shall be at least 3 min.

Brief description of IPX6 waterproof test chamber operation specification:
1. First adjust the water spray position, then start the machine, click “IPX6 start”, and adjust the flow meter to 100L/min; Observe whether the water spraying point is close to the center; If the water spray deviates greatly, the angle of the spray gun needs to be adjusted manually.

2. Open the chamber door and fix the sample at the center of the turntable
3. Enter the test parameter interface and set the test time, power-on and power-off time
4. Return to the “Test Interface” and reconfirm that the sample has been bound; Click “Test Start” to start the test.

5. Observe the flow meter: check whether the upper surface of the buoy corresponds to the standard flow scale; If it does not meet the requirements, the user shall make fine adjustment. When the test reaches the set time, the test will automatically stop and an alarm interface will appear after the test is completed.

6. If the test sample is electrified, it is necessary to cut off the power supply of the sample after the test is completed, and then take out the sample to check the results.
