What’s difference between Spectroradiometer & Integrating Sphere VS Goniophotometer Test?

According to CIE127, EN13032-1 and LM-79-19, there two ways to test lighting lamps for photometric parameters: Spectroradiometer & Integrating Sphere and Goniophotometer System. What’s difference between them? Here we give you a brief introduction.

1. What’s the test principle difference between Spectroradiometer & Integrating Sphere VS Goniophotometer Test?
The principle of the Spectroradiometer & Integrating Sphere test system is to measure the illuminance of a certain point on the integrating sphere, calculate the radiant flux at a certain wavelength, and finally calculate the total luminous flux of the light source, but the Goniophotometer generally measures the light intensity distribution of the luminaires and calculates the luminous flux of the luminaires.

2. How to choose the Spectroradiometer & Integrating Sphere or the Goniophotometer to test the lamps?

3. What’s the test parameters for Spectroradiometer & Integrating Sphere and Goniophotometer?

4. What’s the lumen test accuracy difference for Spectroradiometer & Integrating Sphere VS Goniophotometer?
Both Spectroradiometer & Integrating Sphere and Goniophotometer system can test lumen, but the Spectroradiometer & Integrating Sphere is the relative lumen test method, so if the EUT luminaires figures are much difference than the standard lamp, or the EUT luminaires beam angle is much smaller, then the test tolerance will be bigger, while the Goniophotometer system is the absolute lumen test method, the lumen test results will be more accuracy than the Spectroradiometer & Integrating Sphere test method.
