Q1: If the DUT does not have a ground wire, how to connect the LS9956?
A1: LS9956 also needs to use the ground clamp when testing other items, so if the sample does not have a ground wire, the wiring of the LS9956 should be adjusted as follows: the original wire at ① is moved to ②, that is, there are two wires at ②. The original wire at ③ is moved to ④, that is, there are two wires at ④. Please see the picture below.

Please see the picture below.

Q2: The DUT cannot be turned on automatically and unable to measure its electrical parameters.
A2: The terminals ① in the figure below is used to supply power to the DUT. Please connect the external power supply according to the rated voltage of the DUT. Before testing, make sure the switche ② is on. Note: The power lines and power supply required here need to be prepared by the client. Please see the picture below.

A4: The DUT failed to pass this test.

Q5: The test result shows “OVER”.

A5: The test result exceeds the LS9956 range.
Note: Just out of range does not necessarily mean that the DUT is not good. For example, in the picture above, the insulation resistance exceeds the range, indicating that the insulation of the sample is very good. Judgment should be made based on the items tested.

Q6: “Adjust” error appeared when you test leakage current LLC.

LISUN LS9956 Automatic Safety Test System – After-sales Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

A6: The two terminals marked “Leak” on the back of the LS9956 need external power supply for leakage current  test. Note: The power lines and power supply required here need to be prepared by the client.

When setting the test parameters, the leakage current test voltage is set here.
LISUN LS9956 Automatic Safety Test System – After-sales Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

The set voltage should be consistent with the actual voltage at “Leak” terminals, and the error should not exceed 2V. Otherwise, an “Adjust”error will be prompted during the test.

Q7: “Exceed current break” error appeared.

LISUN LS9956 Automatic Safety Test System – After-sales Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

A7: The current exceeds the LS9956 test limit. Please check whether there is a short circuit between the DUT live wire L, neutral wire N and ground wire PE.

Q8: “Open” error appeared.
A8: When testing the ground resistance GR, if the DUT has no ground wire, or there is an open circuit between the ground wire and its metal shell, this error will appear. If the DUT does not have a ground wire, there is no need to test the ground resistance GR. If the DUT has a ground wire, please check whether there is normal continuity between the sample ground wire and its metal shell.
