LISUN JL-34 IP Waterproof Test Equipments – After Sales Questions and Answers

JL-X waterproof test machine is according to IEC60529:1989 +A1:1999 +A2：2013 《Degrees of protection provided by enclosures(IP Code)》, IEC60598, IEC60335 and IEC 60034-5, GB/T-2423.2, GB4208, GB7000.1. The JL-X includes the following test grades: IPX1, IPX2, IPX3, IPX4, IPX5, IPX6, IPX7 and IPX8 (Refer to page 51 of IEC60529). It is widely used in the authentication test organization for the products such as electrical & electronic products, LED luminaires as well as in the relevant quality control department for the waterproof detection of the enclosures protection grades.

The whole JL-X waterproof test system includes:
• Drip Box (JL-12): The drip box is for IPX1 and IPX2 drip test. The drip box size is 800x800x75mm (LxWxH). The diameter of drip hole is 0.4mm. The distance between drip holes is 20mm. The sample can be over 150kg.
• Swing Pipe Water Spray Test Equipment (JL-34): It is for IPX3 and IPX4 waterproof test. The semi-diameter of swing pipe is 1meter (Any other size is also available). The inside diameter of the swing pipe is 15mm. The sample rotating table diameter is 1000mm (Or other size according to the diameter of the swing pipe), and the height is adjustable. The rotation speed is 1~5rpm which controlled by PLC panel.
• Waterproof Jet Test Device (JL-56): With water supply device size is 1000x1000x600mm, the nozzle diameter is ф6.3mm (IPX5 waterproof test ) and ф12.5mm (IPX6 waterproof test). The water speed is 12.5 ±0.626L/min for IPX55 and 100 ±5L/min for IPX6
• Immersion tank Waterproof test Device (JL-7): It is for IPX7 waterproof test. The water tank size is 1000x1000x1200mm (Other size can be designed according to your request). It can test samples up to 120kg. 
• Immersion tank Waterproof test Device (JL-8): It is for IPX8 test. It can simulate a water depth of 0~50m. The water immersion tank diameter is 600mm and the height is 1200mm. The compressive stress is 10 atmospheres or design according to customer‘s request.

Q1: Water pump does not pump water
A1: Please confirm that the voltage and frequency of the power supply connected to the equipment are consistent with those marked on the nameplate. If not, it will affect the operation of the water pump and even damage the equipment.
Air in the pump will also affect the pumping effect. The water tank is filled with water and the water enters the water pump before starting the water pump.

Q2: The touch screen prompts the following error

A2: The floating ball position of the water tank changes during the transportation of the equipment. The position of the float ball ① is too high, causing the water level upper limit sensor ② to float and give an alarm. Please rotate the rod of the float ball ① or bend it slightly to lower the final position of the float ball. When the water level of the water tank is at the highest point, do not float the sensor.

Q3: Click ①, but the equipment cannot start the test, and the following errors will be prompted

A3: Please return and click ② and ③ to return the pendulum tube to the initial position, and clear the data of the last test time, and then click ① again to test.

Q4: Will the sample power cord be wound when the turntable rotates
A4: The turntable designed by us will automatically rotate in the opposite direction every minute, without winding the power cord. Use our standard waterproof plug power cord.

Q5: The needle will block
A5: The water in the water tank enters the swing pipe through the filter. For the first time, dust may enter into the swing tube during transportation, which may cause the needle to be blocked. Take off the corresponding needle, and then use the following tools provided by us to dredge it.

After the equipment has been used for a long time, the filtering effect of the filter element will become poor, and if the water source used is not clean, it will also cause impurities to enter the swinging tube and block the needle. Therefore, clean water shall be used as much as possible and the filter element shall be replaced regularly.

Q6: How to use counterweight
A6: In order to ensure the stability of swing tube rotation, only large-size swing tubes (radius 1.4m and above) will be equipped with counterweights. Small size swing tube does not need to use counterweight. The counterweight is shown in the following figure:

Q7: Turntable size and height
A7: In order to match the swing tubes of different sizes, we have a variety of turntable sizes, and the height can also be adjusted. Select the turntable of the corresponding size and adjust it to the appropriate height.

Q8: How to confirm test results
A8: If the sample is short circuited and extinguished during the test, it must not meet the standard. If the sample can still be lit normally, it is necessary to take out the sample, wipe the water on the surface, and then open the sample to check whether there is water inside. If there is water, it is also not in conformity with the standard.
