The appearance of the IPX34 Swing Pipe Water Spray Test Equipment and the test chamber shell are made of blue and white paint. They have evolved from a single raw material color before to a beautiful and elegant case shell, which has been painstakingly designed by technical personnel. In addition, the right side of the outside of the box is also provided with a heat dissipation hole, which can effectively extend the service life of the equipment.
The difference between the chamber type model and the column type model is that the chamber type waterproof rain test model can recycle water, and a water storage tank is installed at the bottom of the test machine. After the test, the water will flow back to the water storage tank. The chamber structure has the characteristics of circulating water, which can be said to be both energy-saving and environmentally friendly. More importantly, customers no longer need to build a dedicated waterproof laboratory, which greatly saves initial investment costs. In addition, four movable casters are humanized at the bottom of the test box, making it easier for the machine to carry.
Waterproof experimental machines basically have an intelligent control operating system. The operation panel that controls the entire operating core system – using a color 7-inch touch screen+Panasonic PLC – allows users to set parameters, start, stop, and clear data for the machine on their mobile phones or computers. (The remote control function requires downloading corresponding software). Of course, we also have simpler operating systems that aim to bring more convenience to customers and meet their production requirements.

Let’s take a look at the door of the rain exposure experiment device. The outer shell of the door is sprayed with blue paint, and there are transparent tempered glass windows on it. LED lights are also installed inside the box, in order to allow the operator to see the test situation of the inner chamber more clearly and make better records. A sample power socket is installed directly below the LED illumination lamp. The sample power supply can be turned on or off and the time can be controlled through the system, facilitating some sample tests that require power on.
The test pendulum tube is placed in the middle of the inner chamber. It is called a pendulum tube because it needs to be swung during testing. The shape of the swing tube is a semicircular structure, with nozzles evenly distributed on it. The size of the spray holes is 0.4mm in diameter, and the distance between each hole is 50mm. (Designed strictly in accordance with GB4208 standard) According to the detection standard, the tested sample should be spaced at a distance of 200mm max from the water spray hole, which will make the test sample more evenly exposed to rain and more accurate for testing.
Similar to the column type rain testing machine, the swing tube of this test box is also removable. The difference is that the number of nozzles used for testing IPX3 and IPX4 is different. However, in order to facilitate testing, we have improved the design itself. Changing the test level only requires changing the nozzle. In order to ensure the normal swing of the swing tube, we installed a protractor at the opposite position of the rotating shaft.
The position directly below the pendulum tube is the turntable where the test sample is placed. The turntable is made of SUS304 stainless steel, with good corrosion resistance. Due to the fixed distance between the height of the test sample and the water spray hole, the height of the turntable can be adjusted manually. In addition, the turntable can be rotated in three ways to make the test more accurate. We can also clearly see that there is a mesh filter layer in the water outlet of the inner tank to prevent water spray from blocking the needle hole when the sample or other impurities flow into the water storage tank and the water tank returns to the needle hole during testing.
Speaking of the filter layer, there is also a filter installed at the back of the testing machine. The function of the filter is to filter the impurities that are injected into the running water of the testing machine. The reason for using tap water when testing equipment is because tap water does not contain too many impurities. As mentioned above, the aperture of the water spray hole is 0.4mm. If there are too many impurities in the water, it will cause the water spray hole to be blocked, not only reducing the service life of the nozzle, but also consuming more needle raw materials.
JL-X waterproof test machine is according to IEC60529:1989 +A1:1999 +A2:2013 《Degrees of protection provided by enclosures(IP Code)》, IEC60598, IEC60335 and IEC 60034-5, GB/T-2423.2, GB4208, GB7000.1. The JL-X includes the following test grades: IPX1, IPX2, IPX3, IPX4, IPX5, IPX6, IPX7 and IPX8 (Refer to page 51 of IEC60529). It is widely used in the authentication test organization for the products such as electrical & electronic products, LED luminaires as well as in the relevant quality control department for the waterproof detection of the enclosures protection grades.
• Swing Pipe Water Spray Test Equipment (JL-34): It is for IPX3 and IPX4 waterproof test. The semi-diameter of swing pipe is 1meter (Any other size is also available). The inside diameter of the swing pipe is 15mm. The sample rotating table diameter is 1000mm (Or other size according to the diameter of the swing pipe), and the height is adjustable. The rotation speed is 1~5rpm which controlled by PLC panel.
