Test methods and steps of IPX6 waterproof test chamber

IPX6 waterproof test chamber is used to conduct 6-level waterproof detection of products by simulating water spraying. IPx6 waterproof refers to preventing the invasion of big waves and the damage of immersion appliances caused by big waves. The purpose is to judge whether the product meets the requirements of Grade 6 waterproof standard and whether it has rain proof performance after testing, so as to facilitate the modification design and ex factory use of the product.

IPX6 waterproof test chamber be used for waterproof testing of products in various industries, such as lighting fixtures, LED outdoor displays, automotive headlights, intelligent electronic products, deep-sea equipment and household appliances. Its technical requirements can comply with GB/T4208-2017 Degrees of Protection Provided by Enclosures (IP Code) and other standards.

The waterproof test conditions of IPX6 waterproof test chamber are that the inner diameter of the nozzle is 12.5 mm, and the water flow is 100 ± 5 liters/mm; The water pressure is adjusted according to the specified water flow, and the central part of the main water flow is 120mm round at 2.5m away from the nozzle; I The water spraying time is about 1 minute per square meter of the shell surface; The test time shall be at least 3 minutes. Its spray water flow is adjusted by flowmeter, its nozzle is manufactured according to IEC60529 specification, and its inner box and turntable are made of SUS304 # stainless steel plate. Test steps of IPX6 waterproof test chamber:
1. determine the need to test the sample and clean the product shell, then check whether the power supply and water supply are normal,
2. Open the box door handle, place the test sample on the sample rack, and then close the box door;
3. Enter the control interface to set the test, and then enter the test state according to the set operation mode;
4. During the test of the waterproof test chamber, observe the changes in the chamber. Turn on the light next to the instrument to understand the changes in the chamber through the window.
5. The control system will display the change of temperature and humidity in the test box (if there is no humidity requirement in the test, the humidity value will not be displayed;
6. Open the handle of the box door, take out the sample from the sample rack, check the sample after the test, and record the completion of the test; If there is no test sample, please turn off the power.

How much water should be put into IPX6 waterproof test chamber?
IPX6 is 100 ± 5L/min; The water pressure is adjusted according to the specified water flow, and the water volume tested for different waterproof grades is different. Therefore, there is no unified fixed number of waterproof devices for each type of waterproof test device when conducting waterproof test on products. It should be determined according to the requirements of grade standards.
