Operation method of spectrophotometer:
1. Press the UPS ON/OFF key to turn on the UPS power. After the power is turned on, the power indicator is: 2 green lights up, 1 green lights flashing.
2. Press the power supply of the computer host (the power on key is located above the chassis). After the computer is turned on, turn on the power supply of the instrument. After about 6-7 seconds, a “tick” is heard, indicating that the spectrophotometer has been turned on.
3. Double click the spectrophotometer software icon on the computer desktop. When the “tick” sounds, the instrument software in the computer will start and the instrument is ready.
4. After the software is opened, the spectrophotometer shall be calibrated first, and normal measurement cannot be conducted without calibration. Select “Setting Mode” from the “Instrument” menu. When the dialog box prompts, first select “Reflection” in the mode, click “Correction”, and correct in two steps according to the prompt. After the prompt that the correction has been successful, then select the next mode (i.e. transmission mode) to correct, and also correct in two steps according to the prompt. After calibration, put the calibration supplies back in place for the next calibration.
5. After the two modes are calibrated, white board or green board can be used for measurement to verify whether the calibration is successful. After measuring according to the provisions of the spectrophotometer, right-click the blank space below the data and select “Setting” to pop up the “Chromaticity Data Table Setting” dialog box. Select “XYZ” from the drop-down list “▼” under “scales”, and then click the “<” icon on the left side of the drop-down list. At this time, “XYZ (J, K, L)” will appear at the bottom of the left frame, and then click “OK” to display “X” after the measured data value “Y” and “Z” values. Compare this value with the standard XYZ value on the back of the white board or green board. If the error is within the allowable range (the white board error is within 0.1, and the green board error is within 0.5), it indicates that the correction is successful, otherwise it needs to be corrected again. After the correction is successful, open the “Chromaticity Data Table Setting” dialog box, click “XYZ (J, K, L)” at the bottom of the left frame, and then click the “Remove” icon at the left of the dialog box to remove it. Click “OK”, and the “X”, “Y”, and “Z” values will not be displayed behind the measured data.
6. When measuring with the spectrophotometer, first determine the measurement mode to be used (that is, select the reflection or transmission mode), select the “Setting Mode” from the “Instrument” menu, then select the mode as required, click “OK”, and the mode type used will be displayed under the software. Then call out the standard sample to be used from the database, select “Call sample from database” from the “File” menu, click the mouse, click “OK” in the pop-up dialog box, then select the standard sample to be used from the database, click the mouse, and a “?” appears in the selection box in front of the standard sample, click “OK”, and the dialog box “Insert option?” pops up, select “Yes”, In this way, the standard samples to be used will be called out from the database. Use the mouse to select the standard sample from the operation interface on the left side of the software interface, and then measure the sample piece, and the data obtained will be automatically saved under the standard sample. The standard sample is not allowed to be changed, added or deleted at will.
7. When the sample and standard sample data meet the production requirements, the product can be produced, and the production data can be saved and recorded. First, open the data saving file (LOWER or sunlight film) on the desktop, then use the mouse to select the measured sample data, click the right mouse button, select Copy to the pasteboard, paste the copied data into the opened form, and fill in the production time, order number, product ID and other data into the form according to the specified format, and then save the form to complete the saving of production data.
8. After the measurement data is saved, first close the spectrophotometer software, then turn off the computer and power supply, and put the items on the computer desk back to their original positions. Do not leave until there is no error.
9. In order to ensure the accuracy of the measurement data of the spectrophotometer, it is necessary to calibrate the instrument according to the steps specified in this procedure every 12 hours or when the software prompts that the instrument needs to be calibrated.
10. Various parameter settings of the software shall not be changed during the use of the spectrophotometer.
11. Non spectrophotometer operators shall not use computers and instruments without permission.
12. The computer cannot be connected to external storage devices such as mobile phones, Mp3 and USB flash drives.
13. The user of the spectrophotometer shall pay attention to keeping the instrument surface clean and the lens clean.

Software configuration of spectrophotometer:
Generally, a color management software is produced for the instrument by the manufacturer of the spectrophotometer. Therefore, if the color management software wants to realize the measurement, it needs the hardware of the spectrophotometer. As an auxiliary tool of the instrument, it cannot be implemented separately. If you want color management software to play the correct function, then the correct configuration and link of hardware is essential.

1. When the software is running, it requires the cooperation of the hardware of the spectrophotometer to work normally. Therefore, when running the software, please confirm that the hardware has been correctly connected to the serial port of the computer through the RS232 data line, and the length of the RS232 data line should not exceed 1 meter, otherwise the software will not work normally or stably.
2. The software can only run under the Microsoft Windows operating system. There are no special requirements for the version of the operating system, but the Windows XP operating system is recommended.
3. The software has the function of printing and outputting reports. If you need to print data, make sure that the printer is correctly connected to the computer and that the driver is correctly installed.
4. The installation of software requires at least 10M hard disk space. To ensure the long-term stable operation of the software, please ensure that the hard disk has at least 50M of free space during installation. It is recommended that the memory of the computer system be 128M or more.
The spectrophotometer and color management software that basically operate normally can be correctly executed according to the above operations.
