LS9923 Withstanding voltage and Insulation Test System is Designed According to IEC60335-1-General Requirements

The full name of IEC60335-1 is Household and similar electrical appliances-Safety. This part of international standard IEC 60335-1 has been prepared by IEC technical committee 61: Safety of household and similar electrical appliances.The following is the original content of IEC60335-1- General Requirements.

Scope
This International Standard deals with the safety of electrical appliances for household andsimilar purposes, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V for single-phase appliancesand 480 V for other appliances.

NOTE 1: Battery-operated appliances and other d.c. supplied appliances are within the scope of this standard. Appliances not intended for normal household use but which nevertheless may be a source ofdanger to the public, such as appliances intended to be used by laymen in shops, in lightindustry and on farms, are within the scope of this standard.

NOTE 2: Examples of such appliances are catering equipment, cleaning appliances for commercial use, andappliances for hairdressers. As far as is practicable, this standard deals with the common hazards presented by appliances that are encountered by all persons in and around the home. However, in general,it does not take into account.
