CISPR 14-2:2015 specifies the electromagnetic immunity requirements for household appliances, electric tools, and similar apparatus. It applies to devices with a rated voltage not exceeding 250V for single – phase or 480V for other types, including those powered by mains, batteries, etc. The scope covers a variety of products, such as domestic microwave ovens, induction cooking appliances, and personal – care appliances with radiators. It aims to ensure that these devices can operate normally in residential, commercial, and light – industrial environments without being affected by electromagnetic interference.
This standard defines the immunity requirements for continuous and transient, conducted and radiated electromagnetic disturbances, as well as electrostatic discharges. It references other relevant standards like IEC 61000 series to regulate the test methods. By setting these requirements, it helps to maintain the electromagnetic compatibility of related apparatus, ensuring they are resistant to electromagnetic disturbances and can perform their functions reliably.
