The standard IS 16103(Part 2): 2012 is seen in close context with simultaneously developed performance standard for luminaires in general and for LED luminaires. Changes in the LED module standard shall have impact on the luminaire standards and vice versa, due to the behaviour of LED. Therefore, in the development of the present standard, mutual consultancy of experts of both products has taken place.
