IEC 61326-1:2020 Electrical equipment for measurement, control and laboratory use – EMC requirements- Part 1: General requirements

IEC 61326-1:2020 is the general EMC standard for measuring, control and laboratory electrical devices below AC 1000 V / DC 1500 V. It sets unified conducted and radiated emission limits by Class A (industrial) and Class B (domestic), and standardizes test setup to limit external electromagnetic interference from equipment.

It specifies full immunity tests against ESD, surge, RF fields and power supply fluctuations with three performance evaluation criteria. This 2020 revision updates test parameters and rules for portable battery-powered devices, offering a global uniform EMC testing basis for lab and measuring equipment.
