The core theoretical support of UV aging test is the simulated environment accelerated aging principle. In natural environment, ultraviolet light with wavelength 280~400nm can break C-C and C-O chemical bonds of polymers and trigger free radical chain oxidation reaction. Moisture from rain and dew accelerates material hydrolysis and surface erosion, while high temperature further boosts the rate of photochemical reaction.
The UV aging test chamber reproduces outdoor climate factors through coordination of multiple modules. First, UV lamps simulate solar ultraviolet radiation; UVA-340 and UVB-313 bands are optional to match different acceleration requirements of aging tests. Second, built-in condensation system generates high-humidity dew to simulate morning dew. Third, water spray unit simulates rain wash. The equipment supports programmable alternating cycles of light exposure, condensation and water spray under controllable temperature and humidity to greatly accelerate aging reactions. Within several weeks, it can reproduce aging phenomena including discoloration, chalking, cracking and mechanical strength attenuation formed by long-term outdoor exposure, so as to quickly obtain weather resistance data of materials.
LISUN UV-263LS adopts square inner chamber structure with adjustable distance between samples and UV lamps. The temperature, humidity and irradiation intensity inside the chamber are uniformly stable to avoid data deviation caused by uneven test environment, fully complying with environmental control requirements of GB/T, ASTM, ISO and other standards for UV aging test.

| UV-263LT | Desktop Mini Type | 500×400×400mm | 3 pcs 20W Domestic Lamps | 18 pieces of 70×150mm samples | Fixed at 50mm |
All three models adopt S304 stainless steel inner and outer chambers, temperature range RT+10℃~70℃, humidity ≥75%RH, equipped with LCD programmable controller to freely edit cycles of light, condensation, water spray and dark storage. The irradiation intensity of UV-263LS is continuously adjustable from 0.35~1.2W/㎡, with built-in irradiance tester without extra calibration equipment. It is the mainstream model for laboratories and third-party testing institutions to carry out UV aging test.
Based on the simulated environment accelerated aging principle, UV-263LS forms a standardized process for UV aging test to ensure repeatable and comparable test data:
Sample Pretreatment and Initial Performance Test
Cut standard samples of 70×150mm according to standards, test and record initial chromatic aberration, gloss and tensile strength with supporting spectrophotometer, gloss meter and tensile tester;
Equipment Debugging and Parameter Setting
Check water circuits for condensation and spray to ensure water conductivity less than 5us/cm; select UVA/UVB lamps according to test standards, set irradiation intensity, black panel temperature 50~70℃, and classic cycle of 4h light + 4h condensation;
Sample Loading and Test Running
Fix samples facing UV lamps, seal blank areas with black panels to guarantee uniform internal environment, then start continuous operation;
Periodic Sampling and Performance Tracking
Take out samples every 250 hours, observe surface chalking and cracks, retest chromatic aberration and mechanical properties, and record aging trend;
Comprehensive Evaluation of Test Results
Compare the attenuation of optical and mechanical properties of samples before and after test, judge material weather resistance grade, and support new material screening and formula improvement.

LISUN UV-263LS can conduct UV aging test for all types of polymer materials, covering coatings, plastics, rubber, auto parts, outdoor building materials, electronic casings and other fields, capable of simulating coupled aging damages caused by sunlight, rain and dew.
The equipment complies with mainstream domestic and international testing standards: Chinese GB/T 14522-2008, GB/T 16422.3-2014; international ASTM G154, ISO 4892-3:2013, SAE J2020, DIN 53384, etc. Requirements for irradiation band, cycle duration, temperature and humidity vary among different standards, and corresponding test programs can be switched with one click via the programmable controller of the equipment.
Relying on the simulated environment accelerated aging principle, UV aging test chamber realizes multi-factor coupled accelerated aging of ultraviolet light, moisture and high temperature, which is indispensable equipment for standardized UV aging test. Featuring uniform irradiation environment, adjustable sample-lamp distance and full-standard compatible control system, LISUN UV-263LS square adjustable model can quickly and accurately obtain weather resistance data of various polymer materials, shorten product R&D cycle and reduce the cost of long-term outdoor exposure test. It is widely applied in enterprise R&D laboratories and third-party quality inspection institutions for aging detection, providing a stable and reliable test carrier for durability evaluation of outdoor polymer materials.
