  • The ZRS-3H Glow Wire Tester (also known as Glow Wire Test Apparatus or Flammability Tester) is a high-precision testing instrument developed by LISUN specifically for evaluating the flame retardancy of products and plastic components such as electrical and electronic equipment, home appliances, and lighting equipment. By simulating a “glow wire high-temperature contact” scenario, it tests the ignition properties, ignition temperature, flammability, and flammability index of materials under specific heat loads, providing critical data support for product fire safety design and compliance certification.

The ZRS-3H Glow Wire Test Apparatus strictly adheres to the latest domestic and international fire safety standards. It not only accurately replicates the required core test conditions, such as a 960°C glow wire temperature and a 1N contact force, but also features intelligent features such as automatic timing, automatic recording of ignition and extinction times, and automatic specimen removal after glowing, effectively preventing human error and ensuring the accuracy and repeatability of test data.

    Applications:
    1. Electronics and Electrical Industry
    • Consumer Electronics Components: Mobile phone/computer casings, charger plastic housings, and non-metallic parts of headphones/speakers. These components are tested for ignition risk when in proximity to high-temperature components (such as chips and resistors) to ensure compliance with safety standards such as GB/T 4706.1-2024 and IEC 60335-1:2023.
    • Core Home Appliance Components: Refrigerator/Washing Machine Internal Plastic Brackets, Air Conditioner Motor Insulation, Microwave Oven Door Sealant, and Non-metallic Parts Around Rice Cooker Heating Plates. These components are tested for flame retardancy stability in long-term high-temperature environments to prevent component fires from causing safety accidents.

    2. Lighting Equipment Industry
    • LED Lamp Components: LED driver housings, lamp heat sink plastics, and lamp holder insulation materials. These components are tested for flame retardancy when the lamp is lit for an extended period (heating component temperature rises) to ensure compliance with relevant requirements of GB 7000.1-2015 and IEC 60598-1:2020. • Traditional lighting components: Fluorescent lamp ballast housings and halogen lamp bracket plastics are evaluated for their ignition temperature (GWIT) and flammability index (GWFI) when in contact with high-temperature lamp bodies to ensure fire safety during use of lighting equipment.

    3. Electrical Equipment Industry
    • Wire and cable insulation: PVC/PE insulation coverings of household power cords and industrial control cables are tested for flame retardancy when exposed to short-circuit heat or near high-temperature equipment. This test complies with GB/T 18380.1-2022 and IEC 60332-1-2:2017 standards.
    • Switch and socket components: Socket panels and plastic parts surrounding switch contacts are tested for their flame resistance when exposed to overcurrent to prevent circuit fires caused by component combustion. This test complies with GB/T 2099.1-2021 and IEC 60884-1:2022 requirements.

    4. Automotive Electronics Industry
    • Automotive electronic components: Car navigation system housings, car charger plastic housings, and automotive wiring harness insulation. These components are tested for flame retardancy in high engine compartment temperatures (or near vehicle power modules) in compliance with ISO 6722-1:2019 and GB/T 2408-2021.
    • Interior non-metallic parts: Plastic components in automotive center consoles and door panel interior trims are assessed for their ignition risk when exposed to high vehicle temperatures (such as summer sun exposure) or near vehicle heating elements to ensure occupant safety.

    5. Materials R&D and Testing
    • Plastic Material Performance Evaluation: General engineering plastics such as ABS, PC, PP, and PA, as well as flame-retardant modified plastics (such as flame-retardant ABS and glass fiber-reinforced flame-retardant PC), are measured for their ignition temperature (GWIT) and flammability index (GWFI). This provides data support for electronic and appliance manufacturers in selecting materials that meet safety standards.
    • Third-party testing and certification: Testing organizations (such as SGS, UL, and CQC) provide companies with product compliance testing services, using glow-wire testers to complete test items required by standards such as GB/T 5169.10-2023 and IEC 60695-2-12:2021, and issue flame retardant performance test reports to help companies’ products pass market access certification.
