Product No: GNGPL-3136
Device for Checking The Resistance to Lateral Strain (Three-Pin Gauge) with AS/NZS 3112 Figure 3.6 is engineered specifically to assess the resistance to lateral strain of plugs and sockets adhering to Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 3112. It is meticulously manufactured to meet the technical requirements outlined in AS/NZS 3112 Figure 3.6, boasting stable dimensional performance, high material hardness, and reliable tolerance control – making it an essential tool for verifying product compliance and structural integrity.
Specifications:
• Complies with AS/NZS 3112 “Approval and test specification – Plugs and socket – outlets” Figure 3.6
• Material: Steel
• Material hardness exceeds 50HRC
• Small thermal expansion coefficient for stable dimensional accuracy
• Dimensions and tolerances meet standard requirements (key dimensions include 1.58±0.02mm, 6.2±0.02mm, 19.94±0.02mm, 42±0.5mm, R6.0±0.5mm, R20mm, 60° bevel angle, 0.3±0.05mm, 5±0.5mm)
• Surface roughness conforms to standard specifications
• Uniform width and thickness across all three pins
Test Procedures:
• Prepare the AS/NZS 3112-compliant plug or socket sample, ensuring it is free from cracks, deformation, or surface damage that could impact test results.
• Inspect the test gauge to confirm it is clean, free of debris or wear, and its dimensions are within the specified tolerance range.
• Position the sample in a stable, fixed fixture to prevent movement during the test.
• Align the three pins of the gauge with the corresponding contact points of the sample in strict accordance with AS/NZS 3112 Figure 3.6 requirements.
• Apply the specified lateral force to the gauge as required by the standard, ensuring uniform and steady force application.
• Maintain the applied force for the duration specified in the AS/NZS 3112 standard to evaluate the sample’s resistance to lateral strain.
• After completing the force application, carefully remove the gauge and inspect the sample for deformation, loosening, or structural damage.
• Record all test data, including force values and sample performance, and determine if the sample complies with AS/NZS 3112 standards based on the results.
Applications:
• Testing and verification of lateral strain resistance for plugs and sockets manufactured to AS/NZS 3112 standards
• Quality control and compliance inspection in the electronics manufacturing industry
• Performance evaluation during the R&D phase of plug and socket products
• Routine quality audits in electrical appliance production facilities
• Compliance certification testing for plug and socket manufacturers targeting Australian and New Zealand markets
• Quality inspection of plug and socket accessories in related industries
