Product No: SMT-PBC
Product Introduction:
The 50mm Circular Stop Face Test Finger Probe is a critical tool for safety testing of household and similar electrical appliances. It functions similarly to IEC 61032 Test Probe B but features a 50mm diameter circular stop face (replacing non-circular designs) to accurately verify access to hazardous live or mechanical parts. Constructed with heat-treated steel (for durability) and insulating material (for user safety), it includes a guarded handle and precision-machined joints, ensuring compliance with strict safety standards and reliable test results.
Standards:
| Standards No. | Clause/Figure | Standards Name |
| IEC 60335-1:2020 | Clause 20.2 | Household and similar electrical appliances – Safety – Part 1: General requirements |
| IEC 61032:2021 | – | Safety of machinery – Safety distances to prevent hazard zones being reached by upper and lower limbs |
Specifications:
1. Stop Face Design:Circular stop face, diameter: 50mm
2. Key Dimensions Handle/guard: ø12mm (guard), ø75mm (handle section); overall length: 160mm
3. Precision Features Cylindrical radius: R2 ± 0.05mm; spherical radius: R4 ± 0.05mm; all edges chamfered
4. Material Metal components: Heat-treated steel (for strength and wear resistance); Guard/handle: Insulating material
Test Procedures:
1. Inspect the probe for damage (e.g., bent metal, cracked insulation) and confirm dimensional accuracy.
2. Power off the electrical appliance under test and place it on a stable, flat surface.
3. Identify areas where hazardous parts (live components, sharp edges) may be accessible.
4. Hold the probe by its insulating handle, align the stop face with the appliance’s surface, and gently insert the probe into gaps/openings.
5. Check if the probe can reach hazardous parts; record results to verify compliance.
6. After testing, wipe the probe clean and store it in a dry, protected case.
Applications:
1. Safety testing of large household appliances (e.g., refrigerators, washing machines) to prevent access to hazardous live parts.
2. Compliance checks for kitchen appliances (e.g., electric ovens, microwaves) to verify protection against mechanical hazards.
3. Quality control for small electrical appliances (e.g., vacuum cleaners, electric irons) during production.
4. Third-party laboratory testing for 家电 certification (e.g., CE, UL) per IEC 60335-1 requirements.
5. Post-production audits of household appliances to ensure consistent safety performance.
