It is a standard test gauge to evaluate choking hazard risk of loose detachable components from household electrical appliances. When small components fall off appliances during normal operation or abuse tests, inspectors place the separated parts into this cylinder. If the component can be fully contained inside the cylinder, the product is judged to have potential swallowing and choking risk for young children.
