Tolerances:  ±0.2mm (applies to all dimensions except gaps between knuckles)

Test Procedures:
1. Inspect the probe for damaged joints, worn stainless steel tips, or cracked nylon handles; confirm tolerances meet specs.
2. Power off the portable luminaire under test and place it on a stable, flat surface.
3. Bend the probe’s articulated joints to match the angle of gaps/openings in the luminaire’s enclosure.
4. Hold the nylon handle, align the stainless steel tip with target gaps, and gently insert to check access to hazardous parts.
5. Verify if the tip can reach live components or sharp mechanical parts inside the luminaire.
6. Record results to confirm compliance with CSA C22.2 No.12:2024 Figure 1.
