GNGPL-TIS166FA8 TIS166-2549 Figure A.8 Test Gauge is manufactured according to Thai Standard TIS 166-2549 Appendix A, Clause 9.101, specially designed for flat-round pin socket-outlet contact sequence test. This gauge verifies that the earthing contact connects prior to current-carrying contacts during insertion and disconnects last during withdrawal. It prevents electric shock hazards caused by equipment operating without earthing protection, and is an essential fixture for TIS safety certification of Thai flat-round pin socket-outlets. The gauge is fabricated from non-corrosive stainless steel with all dimensions complying strictly with drawing tolerances.

Test Procedures:
• Insert the gauge fully perpendicular to the socket engagement face. Lamps L1, L2 and L3 shall all light up.
• Insert the gauge completely into socket holes at any angle without excessive force. Lamp L2 shall light before L1 and L3.
• Slowly withdraw the gauge from socket-outlet. Lamps L2 and L3 shall go out before Lamp L1.
• Repeat the complete test on all socket positions of the sample.
