  • GNGPL-TIS166FA6 TIS166-2549 Figure A.6 Test Gauge set includes 3-pin gauge and 2-pin gauge, manufactured in accordance with Thai Standard TIS 166-2549 Appendix A, Clause 22. This gauge set is used for maximum withdrawal force test of socket-outlets. It evaluates the clamping performance of socket contact sleeves to avoid accidental plug disconnection, power failure and overheating risks. It is the designated test fixture for TIS safety certification of Thai socket-outlets. All gauges are fabricated from non-corrosive stainless steel, all dimensions strictly comply with drawing tolerances.

    Test Procedures:
    • Select the corresponding gauge according to pole number of the socket sample.
    • Fully and smoothly insert the gauge into socket entry holes.
    • Apply pulling force uniformly as required by the standard, record the maximum withdrawal force when the gauge separates from the socket.
    • Compare test data with standard limits to judge whether the clamping force of socket is qualified.
    • Repeat the complete test on all socket positions of the sample.
