GNGPL-TIS166FA5 TIS166-2549 Figure A.5 Test Gauge consists of two sub-gauges: gauge for round pin socket-outlet and gauge for flat-round pin socket-outlet, manufactured according to Thai Standard TIS 166-2549 Appendix A. This set of gauges is applied for initial dimension inspection of Thai standard socket-outlets. It verifies critical mating dimensions such as pin spacing and pin profile for round pin and flat-round pin sockets, ensuring proper interoperability with standard plugs. All gauges are made of non-corrosive stainless steel with sufficient mechanical strength, serving as essential test tool for TIS safety certification of Thailand socket-outlets.

Test Procedures:
• Select the corresponding gauge according to sample type: Use gauge (1) for round pin sockets; both gauges can be tested sequentially for flat-round pin sockets.
• Align the gauge with socket entry holes and perform fitting test to check normal insertion.
• Verify key mating parameters including pin center distance, pin profile and insertion depth against standard limits.
• Repeat the fitting test on all socket positions of the sample.
