TIS166-2549 Figure A.4 Contact Sleeve Resilience Gauge

GNGPL-TIS166FA4 TIS166-2549 Figure A.4 Test Gauge set consists of Gauge C1, C2 and C3, manufactured in accordance with Thai Standard TIS 166-2549 Appendix A. This gauge set is used for resilience and contact force test of socket contact tubes, to verify the clamping force of socket sleeves. The socket-outlet shall be placed in the most unfavorable position during testing. Gauges with different diameters and weights are inserted sequentially to confirm that contact sleeves can hold the gauge against gravity without dropping. It is essential test fixture for Thai socket-outlets TIS safety certification. All gauges are made of non-corrosive stainless steel, dimensions and weight fully comply with standard tolerance.

• Compliance Standard: TIS 166-2549 Appendix A, Figure A.4, Clause 9.101
• Composition: Gauge C1, Gauge C2, Gauge C3
• Material: Stainless steel (non-corrosive metal)

Technical Data:

• Pre-test requirement: Wipe grease off gauge pins before testing
• Function: Resilience and contact force test for socket contact tubes

Test Procedures:
• Open the socket shutter during testing. Wipe all grease from gauge pins before test.
• Place the socket-outlet in the most unfavorable position. Insert Gauge C1 perpendicularly to engagement surface with maximum 50 N force. The gauge shall not fall out by its own weight.
• Keep the socket position unchanged, insert Gauge C2. The gauge shall not drop out by its own weight.
• Perform the test with Gauge C3. The gauge shall not fall out by its own weight.
• Repeat the full test on all socket positions of the sample.
