  • Description
  • The test shall be conducted with the engagement face of the socket-outlet in a horizontal position and the shutters open. The gauge shall be applied under its own weight in all possible positions. It must not be possible to touch the socket-contact assembly using only one pin of the gauge. An electrical indicator with a voltage ranging from 40 V to 50 V (inclusive) shall be used to detect contact.
     
    The total mass of the gauge shall be 200 g ± 5 g. The gauge shall be manufactured from hard, corrosion-resistant metal with sufficient rigidity (e.g., stainless steel).
