Test Procedures
• Prepare the gauge and the to-be-tested S30, S31 and S32 plugs, ensuring that both the gauge’s detection part and the plug pins are clean, free of burrs, deformation or rust that may interfere with the test results.
• Take a single plug and identify its pins that need to be inspected for diameter compliance.
• Align the plug’s pin with the detection aperture of the “Non Passa” gauge, and attempt to insert the pin into the gauge’s aperture with appropriate, even force.
• Observe and record whether the pin can penetrate the gauge: if it cannot penetrate, the pin diameter meets the standard requirement; if it can penetrate, the pin is oversized and fails the test.
• Repeat steps 2-4 for all pins of each plug type (S30, S31, S32) to complete a full set of diameter verifications.
• After finishing all tests, clean the gauge’s aperture and the plug pins, and store the gauge in a dust-free, dry environment to preserve its detection precision for subsequent use.
