BS 1363‑1:2023 Figure 6 Screw Test Apparatus

GNGPL-3606 this apparatus is designed in accordance with BS 1363‑1:2023 Figure 6, used to verify the mechanical firmness of plug cover fixing screws. It applies specified pulling force on plug‑cover screws under service‑simulated conditions to check anti‑loosening and anti‑drop performance, which is special test fixture for British‑standard plug safety test.

Specifications:

•  Components: Light‑metal stirrup, sample plug support fixture
•  Test Object: Rewirable plug cover fixing screw assembly

Test Procedures:
•  Mount the plug cover as in real service condition, keep the axis of cover fixing screw vertical and fix sample on fixture support.
•  Attach light‑metal stirrup to cover fixing screw, apply pulling force of 60 N.
•  After force application, inspect connection status. Pass criteria: no screw pull‑out, no cover loosening or falling off.
•  For plugs with non‑screw fastened cover, perform supplementary clamping pull test per clause b of BS 1363‑1:2023.
