GNGPL-TIS166FA3 TIS166-2549 Figure A.3 Test Gauge is manufactured in accordance with Thai Standard TIS 166-2549 Appendix A Figure A.3, Clause 9.101. This gauge is used for the sequence test to verify that the earthing contact sleeve connects prior to live contact sleeves. It confirms that the earthing pin makes contact first when a plug is inserted and disconnects last during withdrawal. It avoids electric shock risks caused by equipment operating without earthing protection, and serves as an essential test fixture for Thai socket-outlets to obtain TIS safety certification. The gauge is made of non-corrosive stainless steel with adequate mechanical strength, and all dimensions comply strictly with the tolerances specified in the standard drawing.

Test Procedures:
• Insert the gauge completely into the socket entry holes at any angle without applying excessive force.
• Observe indicator lamps during insertion: Lamp L2 shall light before L1 and L3.
• Slowly withdraw the gauge from the socket-outlet: Lamps L1 and L3 shall go out before Lamp L2.
• Repeat the full test on all socket positions of the sample.
