LISUN TIS166-2549 Fig A.1 Test Gauge strictly follows Appendix A Clause 9.101 of Thai standard TIS 166-2549. This gauge is designed to verify that single-pole insertion cannot happen on Thai standard socket-outlets. It checks whether a single pin can independently contact the internal contact tube of socket outlets to avoid electric shock risks caused by partial plug insertion. The gauge is manufactured from anti-corrosion stainless steel with sufficient mechanical strength and fixed weight of 200±5 g, which is a mandatory test fixture for TIS safety certification of Thai socket-outlets.

Test Procedures:
• Fix the socket-outlet sample, place its mating surface on a horizontal plane with socket openings facing upwards.
• Apply the TIS166-2549 Fig A.1 gauge in all possible accessible positions and angles to the socket openings.
• Connect a 40 V to 50 V electrical indicator between the gauge and socket internal conductive components for contact detection.
• Acceptance requirement: It must NOT be possible for a single gauge pin alone to touch any internal contact tube of the socket-outlet. If single-pole contact occurs, the sample fails the test.
• Complete the test for all socket positions on the test sample.
